What you are ordering
A preorder is an order for a product awaiting release, manufacture or replenishment. A made-to-order product is manufactured after ordering. Neither description automatically means the goods are personalised or bespoke.
A genuinely custom product is made or altered to your individual specification, such as customer-specific machining or dimensions outside the advertised standard options. The product page or quote will identify relevant custom work before purchase.
The listing or agreed quote sets out the product, configuration, inclusions, price and available lead-time information. Full payment is required when placing a product order, including preorders and custom orders.
Specifications and production
Standard catalogue products are supplied to the advertised specifications and the options selected in your order. This includes standard preorders and standard made-to-order products. These orders do not require separate approval of drawings or measurements before production.
For genuinely custom products, we may ask you to approve relevant drawings, measurements or configuration details before starting the custom work. Check these carefully and disclose the build details relevant to the agreed custom specification. Your approval does not remove our responsibility for our own design, manufacture or advice.
If you request a change after ordering, we will confirm whether it is possible and explain any effect on cost or timing. We will obtain your agreement before proceeding with the change or additional work. If a change cannot be made, we will explain why and discuss the available options, including any applicable cancellation rights.
Cancellation before dispatch
You may cancel a standard preorder or standard made-to-order product before dispatch for a full refund. If the entire order is cancelled, we also refund its shipping charge. Selecting an advertised standard option does not by itself remove this cancellation right.
For a genuinely custom product, you may request cancellation before dispatch. We may deduct only reasonable, documented costs of authorised work or procurement actually incurred for that order which cannot reasonably be recovered, reused or avoided. We will take reasonable steps to limit loss, account for resale or reuse value and provide an itemised explanation. There is no automatic percentage cancellation fee. We refund the remaining balance, including unused shipping charges.
These deductions apply only where lawful to a customer-requested cancellation. They do not reduce a refund or other remedy due for our breach, non-supply, a consumer-guarantee failure or an applicable statutory withdrawal right. We do not charge twice for the same work or loss.
Delays and refunds
We will notify you of a material production or supply delay and discuss revised timing and cancellation options. An estimate is not permission to retain your payment indefinitely. Agreed commitments and rights to supply within a reasonable time remain applicable.
If we cannot supply the agreed product, we will provide the refund or other remedy required by law. We will not automatically deduct custom costs from a remedy owed because of our own failure.
The Returns Refunds and Cancellations Policy governs returns after delivery. Mandatory rights remain available for custom goods even where a particular voluntary return or statutory change-of-mind exception applies.
